J Lade Heaton is a former active licensed attorney in the
Salt Lake City & Park City area of Utah, USA where he
maintained his private practice and residency.
He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah.
He was a member in good standing in the Utah State Bar,
the Utah State Supreme Court, the United States District
Court for Utah & the United States Supreme Court for 39
years.
Besides a private practice, Mr. Heaton has served as
Associate General Counsel for the Utah State Legislature,
house counsel for a mining company, a Hearing Examiner
for property tax assessment appeals for the Board of
Equalization for Salt Lake County, a certified commercial and
personal real estate appraiser, and an adjunct, or full time
professor.
He was awarded a Fulbright Teaching Scholar position in
Ukraine, teaching business law and business ethics. While in
Ukraine he was awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctor
Honoris Causa.
Mr. Heaton has taught Business Law, Business Ethics,
Business Formations, & Estate Planing in various capacities.
Mr. Heaton was a senior lecturer / professor in the United
Arab Emirates at the American University of Sharjah where
he taught business law, business ethics, & social
responsibility issues for 5 years.
